Rare in the garden, Stock Doves nest in cavities of mature trees, feeding on seed, shoots, vegetable matter and insects often on farmland, clearings and woodland edges. They are largely blue-grey with an attractive iridescent bottle green band on the back of the neck and a pink chest.
